We’re in idol territory right now.
The man, the myth, the legend Jackie Chan is in town to shoot a new movie (scroll for a teaser, if you’re a fan of action flicks, this looks RIDICULOUS) he’s also using his time here wisely.
Cutting through all the expected touristy stuff (Chan has been-there-done-that), he did the one thing all of us really want to do, but probably never will. He got behind the wheel of the legendary Dubai Police vehicle – the Ghiath.
Released in 2018, the Ghiath is in a class of its own, the beast comes complete with facial recognition technology, vehicle recognition technology (if a car is being tracked by Dubai Police, this patrol can pick it up) and state-of-the-art communication systems.
So yeah, it’s insanely cool.
Chan met with Dubai Police to witness the model of digital policing at one of Dubai’s slick Smart Police Stations (we can only imagine he’s scouting info for a new movie).
