And this is one of our favourites in Barsha!
Located one block behind the Metro at at Sharaf DG, this is brilliant for anyone looking for a good, quick feed.
Daily Express – Al Barsha doesn’t look anything special from the outside but with few options, we decided to give it a shot. In case you see them elsewhere, this The Daily Express restaurant group has branches at Jumeirah and Deira, the JLT branch opened in November.
On entry we noticed some classic photos on the wall. Any Pakistani restaurant worth it’s salt tends to have celebrities and dignitaries who’ve graced the restaurant with their presence photographed alongside the owners. We couldn’t recognise everyone in the many photos, but we did see some famous Pakistani’s including the infamous Former Pakistan Interior Minister, Nadeem Baig and Rehman Malik.
Need we say more?! We were late for lunch but hungry, and decided to go for the buffet instead of the a la carte menu. At a mere AED 39, it felt like the best choice to taste what they had to offer and to get more than one plate of food.
The ‘all you can eat’ buffet is available from 12:30 till 4pm.
As with everyone in a similar situation we filled up the first plate with a range of flavorsome options including aloo ghost, biryani, paneer tikka masala, and sheekh kabab. There were about nine options in all.
Despite only having a 3.5 rating on Zomato, we recommend this restaurant. The interior isn’t anything to write home about but the food was top quality, tasty and fresh.
It was busy with families and the staff were attentive. It’s not a place we’d go out of our way to travel to but if you are in the neighbourhood and looking for food, this place will certainly not disappoint.
