Dubai is the city that just keeps on giving.

The Roads and Transport Authority has announced new marina transport routes, meaning you can visit spots like Al Fahidi Museum, the spice and textile souqs and Baniyas Square all by Abram, adding the already numerous routes available.

When Old Dubai starts to feel like Venice

We have announced changes in the marine transit network of Dubai Creek as part of our continues efforts to improve service and convenience. The step is in line with our third strategic goal (People Happiness). Lines have been increased from one to four. Al Fahidi and Al Sabkha Stations have been added to the existing stations of Al Seef, Baniyas, Dubai Old Souq and Al Ghubaiba, two lines have been introduced, the first line between Al Sabkha (Deira) and Al Fahidi (Bur Dubai), the second line links Al Sabkha and Al Ghubaiba Stations.

There are 3 types of abras

The Petrol Heritage Abra: A new Abra with a traditional design – it can accommodate 20 people including passengers of determination.

Electrical Abra: It is an environmentally-friendly Abra that can accommodate 8 people. You’ll find these at closed lakes such as Burj Khalifa and The Global Village.

Air-conditioned Abra: This Abra which can accommodate 20 people and is perfect for the summer season. Head to the marine station in Al Jaddaf and take this service to Dubai Station to Dubai Festival City.

Air-conditioned Abra: AED2 per trip

Electrical Abra:

• Burj Khalifa: AED68.25/passenger for every trip (25 minutes)
• The Global Village: AED50 (between 12 and 15 minutes)
• Al Mamzar: AED60 (30 minutes) and AED120 (1 hour).
