Ramadan Kareem!
You made it, the first week of Ramadan is done and dusted and a weekend of rest and relaxation awaits.
And true to form, Dubai is offering up a weekend full of possibilities, from Arabian style iftars, runs, walks to support an important cause, or simply chill at home, catch up on Netflix, your favourite Ramadan series, or better yet, the new weekly Lovin Show (shameless plug, turn it on!)
Here ya go. Looking for budget offers? Try these 10 beauts.
Crescendo transforms into an Arabian delight complete with live kunoon player where the outdoor seating overlooks an incredible infinity pool and the food is top-class.
Break your fast in the traditional way with jallab, tamer hindi, kamer aldein, laban earan, karkadé juices and plain and stuffed dates. Then, work your way through a thoroughly international feast.
Starting with the Arabic family dishes like sambousek jebnih and mutabal, mixed grill, shawarma and kebab, before moving onto a fantastic mix of Asian delights including a Dim Sum station, black pepper beef station, Bejing duck and noodles and an impressive selection of seafood. There’s also a mix of European dishes, and plenty of sweet treats to finish. Date pudding, anyone?!

EXTRA is the only way to accurately describe Emerald Palace Kempinski, the newest gem on the Palm. It’s luxurious to a T, with every inch gilded in gold.
Villamore, an eatery located within the grounds of the hotel manages to be the total opposite, and if you’re looking for a luxuriously lazy Friday afternoon, this Mediterranean style eatery is very worthy of your time. (Plus, you get to snoop through the hotel on your way to the beach!)
It’s four courses, including a fab Mezze selection to start (this is truly quality over quantity, rare in Dubai, but the cured meats and salads are fantastic). Then it’s sharing starters, mains of your choice (the open fried fish was the star of the show) with a fab little selection of desserts. Post-brunch, sip your drinks and enjoy the ocean views.
