We’ll get to all the reasons you need to visit World Art Dubai further down in this list, but if you are hitting the mammoth art fair at DWTC, this is one exhibition that’s worthy of special attention.
Created by UAE-based female artists collectively known as ‘Art Gap’ and presented by Standard Chartered, this show will take centre stage. Highlighting recent research by Oxford Business School that proves works by female artists sell at auction for 47.6% less than works by their male counterparts, the female artists in this exhibition will leave 47.6% of their work unfinished, and will ‘make a powerful statement on the inequality of gender pay in the art world”, according to Batool Jafri, Curator of Art Gap and World Art Dubai
