Reasons for Al Habtoor-Marriott split<\/h3>\n Although the two big players have not revealed reasons for them parting ways, industry experts blame poor performance of the three properties as the primary reason.<\/p>\n
Speculations were also made about whether the properties would continue to operate under their current names, but with this latest development of the ‘W’ sign been taken off the W Hotel building, it’s clear that they will be given different monikers.<\/p>\n
(Also, if reports are to be believed the signs from The St Regis Hotel and The Westin buildings are down too.)<\/em><\/p>\nFuture of The St Regis, W Dubai and The Westin<\/h3>\n Al Habtoor Group will now have to find a new hotel operator to manage the properties and will also be responsible for providing them with new brands, come July 31. <\/p>\n
Whatever said and done, this definitely marks a new era for the hospitality sector in Dubai.<\/p>\n
