Parts of Kerala, the Southern most state of India are still in a state of emergency after unprecedented floods over the last week<\/a>.<\/p>\n

More than 350 people have lost their lives and a full rescue relief mission is in operation; according to reports 725,000 people have sought relief at 5,645 rescue camps.<\/p>\n

The UAE has been immediate in its relief action – setting up a basic relief fund<\/a>, allowing residents to text donate – and UAE leaders are urging residents to donate generously, particularly on the occasion of Eid Al Adha<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has thanked Dubai’s ruler, HH Sheikh Mohammed<\/a> bin Rashid Al Maktoum for his support<\/p>\n

‘His concern reflects the special ties between governments and people of India and UAE.’<\/h4>\n
