As Abu Dhabi prepares to host the most unified World Games in the 50-year history of Special Olympics, welcoming more than 7,000 athletes in 2019, the organising committee is looking to hire as many as 20,000 volunteers from the region.<\/p>\n

This is the first time ever when as many as 170 countries will be competing in 24 sports; it’s safe to say that this will be the BIGGEST humanitarian event in the world.<\/p>\n

And it can’t POSSIBLY happen without the involvement of volunteers<\/h3>\n

The committee is looking to fill several essential positions<\/h3>\n

”You\u2019ll be assuming severe essential roles, and, most importantly you will open your eyes and heart to a more hopeful, inclusive world. The experience is one you will never forget,” it said to the aspiring volunteers.<\/p>\n

Areas available for volunteers include sports, technology, event, medical, delegation assistance liaison, communications, operations, guests service, language service and protocol.<\/p>\n

In fact people with intellectual disabilities can also apply for these positions.<\/p>\n
