The Emirates Airline women’s rugby team is gearing up for this weekend’s Rugby Sevens and they are impressive.<\/p>\n

Made up of cabin crew, the team, the EK Firebirds come from 14 different countries – Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and UK along with Romania, Slovakia, Namibia, the Czech Republic, the Philippines and Nigeria.<\/p>\n

The team started in 2012, with four cabin crew members interested in playing rugby, and has now expanded to 15 members, and growing.<\/p>\n

They have been training together around town, in between flying at locations including Zabeel Park, Sevens stadium and the like.<\/p>\n
