Footballer Lionel Messi, one of the world’s most well-known faces is getting his very own star, as announced by Dubai Stars.<\/p>\n

If you don’t know, the popular Hollywood ‘Walk of Fame’ stars we’ve seen in ALL the iconic Western films and tourist photos- is sort of coming to Dubai. The Dubai Stars is set to open this October and nominations for names are currently being done on social media- asking you, the public, to vote.<\/p>\n

The list of people that can receive a star can include influencers, community leaders who have inspired or made a change, local and regional celebs, athletes and more.<\/p>\n

Messi made it as one of the first few people- YAS!<\/h3>\n

The 32-year-old has been in Dubai a couple of times in 2019, and is one of the first ambassadors<\/a> for the upcoming Expo 2020 in the city.<\/p>\n

Dubai Stars announced that since he’s been the highest goalscorer in the LaLiga PLUS the youngest football player to win 4 Ballon d’Or awards- that the star is deservingly so.<\/p>\n
