Dubai is taking all the necessary steps to improve road safety, hence the implementation of SO many cool initiatives.

One of the said initiatives by The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is, wait for it, introducing: virtual reality technology (VR).

How?

The RTA has decided it will help teach all public transportation drivers in the UAE to be more familiar with the use of VR. This way, driving around Dubai will (hopefully) be done more safely.

VR is definitely gonna kick things up a notch (in a good way!)

An interactive program will allow drivers to train under varied weather and road conditions- to help improve driving safety.

There have been a few road accidents in the UAE in recent months, thus leading to this solution, that aims to create a safer driving environment.

YAAS!

The VR will also help monitor the driving behaviour of new drivers and assess their performance. Talk about high-tech!

What’s great is that RTA is implementing this in phases so it is easier for people to get used to it, so watch out for this new advanced technology that will change the way you learn how to drive.

Props to the UAE for always thinking of ways to fix issues!
