27 September was a historic day for Saudi Arabia because, on the occasion of World Tourism Day, the Kingdom had announced that it was going to open\u00a0its doors to tourists who want to visit for more than religious reasons.<\/p>\n

With immediate effect,\u00a0visitors will now be able to spend up to\u00a090 days in the country and enjoy the rich heritage with either a one-year or a multiple entry visa.<\/p>\n

Saudi Arabia FURTHER issued a statement where along with the new visas they will also ease restrictions on the\u00a0dress codes for female tourists. It’s no longer mandatory for women visiting Saudi to\u00a0wear abayas BUT must still dress modestly.<\/p>\n

Visas will be available online for AED294 – which women travelling\u00a0unaccompanied will now also be able to access unlike in the past<\/h2>\n
