Food trucks are the hipster foodie obsession that are going nowhere fast…(well that probably depends on the speed limit we reckon). Recently they’ve been popping up all over Dubai with the help of Roundup; a company supported by the government which helps entrepreneurs go through the process of starting a food truck. Have you ever thought of owning your very own food truck? Erm…Best job ever alert!

If that sounds like too much effort, (no judgement; we’re lazy too) why don’t you just visit some instead? Here is our guide to some of the city’s best.

Note: Don’t expect greasy fries or a soggy burger like the old days, food trucks have gone gourmet and these days you’re more likely to find a gluten-free pulled pork bap with a side of quinoa on the menu instead.

If you’re not a fan of tacos you can go home right now. Here at the Lovin Dubai’ office we looovveeee tacos and you know the only thing that makes tacos even better? Ordering them from a truck and demolishing them outside in the sunshine somewhere. Calle Tacos is a Mexican food truck which started originally in Hollywood; they provide fresh, authentic food; we’re talking tacos, (obviously) nachos, quesadillas, burritos…all the good stuff. If you ask nicely it will all come covered in guac and melted cheese, we’re hungry just thinking about it.

Where and when? Zabeel Park on Fridays from 9am to 6pm and at Creek Park on Saturdays from 3pm to 11pm
