Upon learning that Titanic II is on it’s way, you will be forgiven for thinking it is a sequel to James Cameron’s epic moving from 1997 starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. It is however, a replica ship, to the original Titanic that infamously sank during it’s maiden voyage in April 1912.

The new ship, almost identical to the original – apart from wider berth – is due to be completed in 2018 and it’s maiden voyage is expected to be from Jiangsu in Eastern China to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. The ship is being built by Australian billionaire Clive Palmer at an estimated cost of $600m.
