There will be a dry night in Dubai this weekend, to mark the birth of Prophet Muhammad, PBUH.

The Prophet’s birthday falls on November 9 and to mark the day, there will be a dry night, meaning no alcohol will be served from Friday, November 8 at 5.30 pm until Saturday, November 9 at 6.30pm.

The ruling extends to all licensed venues, including bars, hotels and restaurants.

November 9 is also a national holiday in the UAE, however, because it falls on a Saturday, it doesn’t affect the majority of workers.
