On Saturday morning, the Dubai police took to their official Twiter account to remind individuals residing in the UAE that suffer from a drug addiction that they will NOT be punished nor prosecuted if they come forward to the authorities to seek treatment for their addiction.<\/p>\n

Parents and guardians can be assured that if their child suffers from a narcotics addiction, the Dubai police will provide them with protection and provide them with the needed help to overcome the threatening addiction.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0Article 43 \u2013 UAE Anti-Narcotics Law, addicts will NOT have any kind of\u00a0criminal proceedings being initiated against them if they themselves come fourth to the authorities voluntarily.<\/p>\n

Previously the Dubai police have also advised parents to keep a watchful eye on their children and their habits, plus to keep a note of the company they keep…<\/h2>\n

However, if addicts are FOUND trafficking, selling or consuming drugs only then will they face prosecution and stern punishments by the Dubai government.<\/p>\n

Drug user would not be prosecuted if he\/she comes forward to the authorities to seek treatment for addiction.
