Most often what you see is not what you get.<\/p>\n
Think back to all those brochures or clippings that listed so many facilities and features for an apartment \/ villa that you were looking to rent \/ buy. And when you get to it, it’s another story. And perhaps a waste of a story because it doesn’t have half the stuff you read about.<\/p>\n
All that will change from Sunday.<\/p>\n
All real estates agents have received a circular from\u00a0Marwan\u00a0Ahmed Bin Ghalita, CEO of the RERA.<\/p>\n
Brokers must apply to the Dubai Land Department\u00a0for permits (for any real estate announcements)\u00a0through its website or\u00a0the\u00a0e-service \u2018Trakhees\u2019. Approvals would take a maximum of two working days, but could be given immediately if all terms and conditions are\u00a0met.<\/p>\n
This applies to print, radio, web and social media ads. Not having a permit number on the listing could result in legal action.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It cuts out\u00a0property fraud and false advertising and assures\u00a0people what’s being listed is genuine.<\/p>\n
While property companies have welcomed the law, they do\u00a0believe it’s a time-consuming procedure\u00a0in the rentals and sales\u00a0process.\u00a0<\/p>\n
