Dubai wants to be the most sustainable city in the world by 2050 and it is definitely taking steps in the right direction.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Very soon residents will be able to visit Pond Park, an AED 21m project, in Khawaneej-1. What\u2019s great about this place? It is classified as a sustainable park with zero energy as all its electricity needs will be sorted with solar energy. Also the 1.5 hectares area includes a pond which will be used to collect rainwater in addition to a main park area and adults play area. Parents don’t need to worry about their little ones as a fence has been installed on the perimeter of the pond to protect children.<\/p>\n
Some of the other features of the park are its two play areas with\u00a0rubberised flooring,\u00a0a football court with artificial grass,\u00a0wooden benches and\u00a0umbrellas as well as\u00a0bushes, grass areas and seasonal flowers.<\/p>\n
