{"id":5857,"date":"2017-05-24T12:00:56","date_gmt":"2017-05-24T12:00:56","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2017-05-24T12:00:56","modified_gmt":"2017-05-24T12:00:56","slug":"emirates-is-working-to-make-the-airport-transition-a-whole-lot-easier","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lovin.co\/dubai\/en\/emirates\/emirates-is-working-to-make-the-airport-transition-a-whole-lot-easier\/","title":{"rendered":"Emirates Is Working With Authorities To Make The Airport Transition A Whole Lot Easier For Residents"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"c-adunit c-adunit--mpu\">\n<div id=\"mpu\" class=\"c-adunit__container\"> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lovindubai.com\/lifestyle\/travel\/emirates\">Emirates<\/a> Airlines is working with Dubai authorities to speed up transitions in airports, thanks to a scheme called &#8216;Together&#8217;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The airline is working with Dubai Customs,\u00a0Dubai General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), Dubai Police, and Dubai Airports, to create speedier experiences, and implement new systems and technologies.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Plans include enhancements to:\u00a0simplifying passenger check-in processes and baggage drop-off and tracking, as well as &#8216;using advanced technology throughout the passenger journey within the terminal&#8217;, according to Emirates.<\/p>\n<h3>The scheme is to ensure, as Dubai&#8217;s passenger base expands, so does the services available\u00a0<\/h3>\n<p>Meaning less time standing in queues, and spending time waiting.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It is based on the a six-S philosophy:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Smart<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Speed<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Saving\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Service\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Safety<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Security\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote class=\"content__quote\">\n<p>\u00a0\u201cLast year, over 57 million passengers flew on Emirates, to Dubai or through Dubai, and that number continues to grow.
