The holy institute was built by the founding father His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in 1996. Also, it was built over the span of 12 years and opened in December 20, 2007.<\/p>\n

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is the LARGEST mosque in the UAE and third largest in the world. Additionally, it was rated as one of the\u00a0World\u2019s Most Beautiful Sights<\/a>\u00a0in the world by TripAdvisor.<\/p>\n

7. The largest mosque in Sharjah – The Sharjah Mosque<\/h2>\n

More than five years in the making, the largest religious institute in Sharjah opened its doors in 2019. The AED300 million building occupies 185,806 square metres with a capacity to accommodate over 25,000 worshippers.<\/p>\n

Also, it is home to a large library rich in Islamic works. Moreover, it is equipped to welcome non-Muslim visitors and lovers of knowledge from around the world.<\/p>\n
