{"id":6266,"date":"2017-08-10T08:03:32","date_gmt":"2017-08-10T08:03:32","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2017-08-10T08:03:32","modified_gmt":"2017-08-10T08:03:32","slug":"dubai-police-have-now-launched-self-driving-cars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lovin.co\/dubai\/en\/community\/dubai-police\/dubai-police-have-now-launched-self-driving-cars\/","title":{"rendered":"Following On From Robocop Dubai Police Are Now Launching Self-Driving Cars"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"c-adunit c-adunit--mpu\">\n<div id=\"mpu\" class=\"c-adunit__container\"> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The latest piece of high-tech hardware to help Dubai Police has been announced with self-driving cars.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The self-driving patrol cars will drive around the streets of the UAE monitoring security situations.<\/p>\n<p>The cars will be able to be programmed to monitor set areas and suburbs of Dubai, using cameras and sensors to identify people and places and follow suspects.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>They will be activated with voice commanders and fingerprint scanners to ensure the highest level clearance for access to the cars, and will be connected to a security base for communication.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>They&#8217;ll be unveiled officially at the next GITEX event so the public can see them in all their glory.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>Dubai Police have been pioneers in security technologies, including the launch of robotic police offers earlier this year<\/h3>\n<p>The robocops were announced in 2016, and have been slowly released to different stations.
