{"id":6963,"date":"2017-08-17T07:35:12","date_gmt":"2017-08-17T07:35:12","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2017-08-17T07:35:12","modified_gmt":"2017-08-17T07:35:12","slug":"thousands-of-motorists-ticketed-for-jumping-red-lights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lovin.co\/dubai\/en\/news\/thousands-of-motorists-ticketed-for-jumping-red-lights\/","title":{"rendered":"A Mammoth Number Of Motorists Have Been Ticketed For Jumping Red Lights"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"c-adunit c-adunit--mpu\">\n<div id=\"mpu\" class=\"c-adunit__container\"> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lovindubai.com\/community\/dubai-police\">Dubai Police <\/a>have issued a whopping 19,270 tickets to motorists for running red lights in the first seven months of 2017.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The police issued a statement urging motorists to exercise caution at intersections, and reconsider accelerating through yellow lights for safety reasons.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The number of offences has been reduced in comparison to the same period last year, which found 29,328 tickets issued, however the numbers are still too high according to authorities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Director of the Traffic Department of Dubai Police,\u00a0Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazroui said it&#8217;s very dangerous and motorists should be reducing &#8211;
