{"id":7868,"date":"2017-10-18T19:06:06","date_gmt":"2017-10-18T19:06:06","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2017-10-18T19:06:06","modified_gmt":"2017-10-18T19:06:06","slug":"the-authorities-in-the-uae-have-issued-a-warning-against-travelling-to-this-country","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lovin.co\/dubai\/en\/news\/the-authorities-in-the-uae-have-issued-a-warning-against-travelling-to-this-country\/","title":{"rendered":"The Authorities In The UAE Have Issued A Warning Against Travelling To This Country"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"c-adunit c-adunit--mpu\">\n<div id=\"mpu\" class=\"c-adunit__container\"> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Following the report of an alarming outbreak of the pneumonic\u00a0plague in the Republic of Madagascar,\u00a0The Ministry of Health and Prevention has issued a warning to UAE residents against travelling to the African country.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The ministry issued a warning on Wednesday evening when apparently more than 70 people were reported dead.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>For anyone who HAS TO travel to Madagascar, you&#8217;ve been asked take extra precautionary measures after and during the trip<\/h3>\n<div class=\"c-adunit c-adunit--mpu_mid\">\n<div id=\"mpu_mid\" class=\"c-adunit__container\"> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>For starters you must visit the Ministry\u2019s Traveller Health Clinics to learn more about the medical advice and vaccines, and to also learn about the latest updates of the outbreak in Madagascar.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to\u00a0Dr Fatima Al Attar, Vice-President of the National Committee for International Health Regulations and the Control of Pandemics, there is no infected cases of the plague in the UAE and that the ministry will soon issue a circular for health workers covering essential information on the disease, including diagnosis, isolation procedures, prevention of infection, treatment and follow-up.<\/p>\n<h3>If you experience the symptoms while in Madagascar, you will be prohibited to return back to the UAE<\/h3>\n<p>The health authorities in Madagascar will prevent the spread of the disease globally by preventing patients from travelling back to their countries, should they exhibit any symptoms of the disease.
