{"id":8072,"date":"2017-11-04T09:53:46","date_gmt":"2017-11-04T09:53:46","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2017-11-04T09:53:46","modified_gmt":"2017-11-04T09:53:46","slug":"driverless-buses-ain-island","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lovin.co\/dubai\/en\/news\/driverless-buses-ain-island\/","title":{"rendered":"There Will Be Driverless Buses In Dubai By 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"c-adunit c-adunit--mpu\">\n<div id=\"mpu\" class=\"c-adunit__container\"> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The vision to have 25% of transport in Dubai driverless by 2030 is well underway&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The autonomous transport solution for <a href=\"https:\/\/lovindubai.com\/feature\/update-bluewaters-island\" target=\"_blank\">Bluewaters<\/a> Island, (the island currently under construction off the coast of JBR and home to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lovindubai.com\/news\/ain-dubai-london-eye-comparison\" target=\"_blank\">Ain Dubai<\/a>) has successfully passed the first round of testing.<\/p>\n<p>The tests, carried out by automated transit company\u00a02getthere, subjected the vehicles to various stages of extreme climates according to a report in Arabian Business.<\/p>\n<p>Once approved, 25 of the buses will provide the public transport to and from the island.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><center><\/center><\/p>\n<div class=\"c-adunit c-adunit--mpu_mid\">\n<div id=\"mpu_mid\" class=\"c-adunit__container\"> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3>There will be two stations<\/h3>\n<p>Situated 2.6km apart. The trip time will be approx 4.5 minutes.
