Citi Denies Damage To UAE And Bahrain Offices

Following a wave of social media speculation, Citigroup recently released a direct update regarding its operations in the UAE and Bahrain.

The bank issued a straightforward update to clear the air. The message was simple: Citi is staying put, and it is business as usual.

The bank confirmed that it has temporarily closed some branches and evacuated three of its buildings in the UAE and Bahrain

While “evacuation” can sound like an alarming word, in this context, it appears to be a standard safety measure.
