<\/p>\nFollowing similar procedures\u00a0in the UK and Singapore, the Road and\u00a0Traffic\u00a0Authority is undertaking new\u00a0measures to ensure a top quality taxi\u00a0service in the city.<\/p>\n
Applicants for positions will initially complete an aptitude\u00a0test in their home country before a round of two tests once they reach the Emirate. Approximately 5,000 drivers apply for driving\u00a0positions each year, and they will all now face two exams; the first\u00a0focuses\u00a0on listening and reading and the\u00a0second focuses on the applicants\u00a0customer service and problem solving skills.<\/p>\n
