And now this iconic structure will serve as inspiration to a tower in Plymouth, England. Part of an AED\u00a0193 million development called Meridian, the tower will be 11-storey high with 64 luxury apartments boasting sea views.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe building will be held up by a series of curved steel ‘ribs’ and its sail-like shape means it has been likened to the famous Burj Al\u00a0Arab hotel in Dubai,\u201d stated the Plymouth Herald.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A little about the project<\/h3>\n

While no start date has been given for the waterfront project, the report states\u00a0it received planning consent in March 2015. They had expected the construction to begin last year and be completed in 2020.\u00a0It has been designed by\u00a0Burke Rickhards Architects and developed by UK-based company Linden Homes who also say they will create 213 jobs when they build the tower and two additional blocks\u00a0at the Millbay Marina Village.\u00a0<\/p>\n
