The flight was travelling from Thiruvananthapuram to Dubai and caught fire but thankfully all\u00a0300 passengers and crew members on board survived the incident.<\/p>\n<h3>The airline has offered around AED 26,000 (US$ 7,000) in\u00a0compensation&#8230;<\/h3>\n<p>While Emirates issued\u00a0a statement saying they were offering financial assistance to passengers,\u00a0the amount wasn&#8217;t disclosed.\u00a0Some passengers\u00a0have confirmed\u00a0they received emails\u00a0from Emirates on Tuesday\u00a0informing them of the\u00a0above mentioned amount as compensation per person. Not all passengers have received the emails yet.<\/p>\n<div class=\"c-adunit c-adunit--mpu_mid\">\n<div id=\"mpu_mid\" class=\"c-adunit__container\"> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Due to restricted access to the aircraft because of pending investigations&#8230;<\/h3>\n<p>The financial assistance includes support for lost baggage as well as\u00a0medical and incidental expenses.
