Phase 1 was introduced in April 2015\u00a0on the Naif Road, Deira. 88% of private road users successfully observed the regulation, which lead to an 20% increase in public bus speed&#8230;.that&#8217;s huge!<\/p>\n<h3>Roads users have one month to\u00a0understand the new system&#8230;<\/h3>\n<p>The RTA have given a grace period of one month, whereby no road fines will be collected. Following from October 30th, 2016 a fine of AED 600 will be payable by violators. There are several surveillance cameras along each dedicated route to monitor offenders.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"content__quote\">\n<p>&#8220;RTA is embarking on Phase II of the Dedicated Bus and Taxi Lane Project following the successful completion of the initial phase on Naif Road where compliance rate reached 88%.<\/p>\n<p>The actual implementation of Phase I started on April 1, 2015, which provided for a fine of Dh600 against violators. For this reason, RTA had installed seven surveillance cameras along the dedicated lane to monitor offenders. Offences are reported either automatically through these cameras, or manually through Dubai Police patrols.
