The new levelled up gates at the Ghantoot border will give you legit USA vibes!<\/p>\n

If you’re headed to Abu Dhabi from Dubai, then you’ll deffo be passing by the swanky new installation which has replaced the makeshift tents in the vicinity. It is at this border that you’re required to present your COVID-19 negative PCR tests to enter the capital.<\/p>\n

This makeover was unveiled earlier this month.<\/p>\n

Recently the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis, and Disasters Committee updated the procedures to enter the emirate from within the UAE, for vaccinated individuals, including citizens, residents, and visitors<\/h2>\n

This was put into effect from Friday, August 20!<\/p>\n

Those who are vaccinated or are participating in a clinical trial, no longer need to complete a DPI or PCR test to enter Abu Dhabi, however, presenting a green pass and an active E or star icon on the Alhosn app is mandatory. To obtain an E or star icon in the app, you must take a PCR test once every 7 days, and no further testing after entering the emirate will be required if you\u2019re remaining in the emirate.<\/p>\n

For those who are not vaccinated, the procedure to enter Abu Dhabi remains the same. A PCR test within 48 hours of entry or DPI within 24 hours will be required as well as multiple additional tests if remaining in the emirate.<\/p>\n
