People still managed to celebrate the new year without getting completely soaked but today is somewhat of a different story.<\/p>\n<p>Events are being cancelled and entire venues are shutting their doors in Dubai today.<\/p>\n<h2>The adverse weather made it so fireworks are being cancelled and venues like Global Village are remaining closed for the day<\/h2>\n<div style='clear:both;'><\/div>\n<p><!--infeed--><\/p>\n<h2>Global Village took to Twitter, announcing it will remain closed today due to the poor weather conditions<\/h2>\n<p>Global Village stated that due to the high winds according to the National Center of Meteorology, it will remain closed to assure the safety of visitors.
