At 16, she left school in Ireland and enrolled in beauty therapy school, despite it not being her dream. \u201cI hated it. Too much anatomy and physiology \u2014 I just wanted to do makeup,\u201d she said. But it helped her get a foot in the door, later adding hairdressing to her skills and moving to Australia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"948\" data-end=\"1147\">It wasn\u2019t until she came to Dubai 13 years ago that things began falling into place. \u201cI wanted to be in the celebrity world, TV commercials, the social world&#8230; and I made that my mission,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1149\" data-end=\"1182\"><strong data-start=\"1149\" data-end=\"1182\">Celebrity clients and TV glam<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1184\" data-end=\"1473\">Maria\u2019s clientele includes Tyra Banks, Norah Jones, and the full cast of <em data-start=\"1257\" data-end=\"1287\">The Real Housewives of Dubai<\/em>. She\u2019s also worked with high-profile figures under NDA. \u201cPeople forget these celebrities are just human.
