{"id":9714,"date":"2018-03-28T06:31:00","date_gmt":"2018-03-28T06:31:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2018-03-28T06:31:00","modified_gmt":"2018-03-28T06:31:00","slug":"gcaa-qatari-planes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lovin.co\/dubai\/en\/qatar\/gcaa-qatari-planes\/","title":{"rendered":"UAE Authorities Demand Qatar Immediately Ceases All Activities Endangering Civil Aviation"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"c-adunit c-adunit--mpu\">\n<div id=\"mpu\" class=\"c-adunit__container\"> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Following the news of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lovindubai.com\/qatar\/qatar-fighter-jet\" target=\"_blank\">Qatari fighter jets flying dangerously close to UAE commercial jets<\/a> in Bahrain air space this week, the\u00a0UAE\u2019s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has demanded Qatar refrain from any further activities\u00a0that could compromise the safety of international civil aviation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lovindubai.com\/search?q=qatar&amp;section=blog\" target=\"_blank\">Qatari<\/a>\u00a0authorities did not communicate with air traffic controllers when two Qatari planes flew within 700 metres of two UAE planes.<\/p>\n<p>UAE planes were forced into an unplanned emergency manoeuvre,\u00a0where the jets elevated from 32,000 to 35,000 feet to avoid a collision, according to a Wam report.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"content__quote\">\n<p>&#8220;This act, which is clearly a deliberate act, has endangered the lives of civilians on board and is a clear violation of International Civil Aviation Treaties, and actually puts international civil aviation traffic at risk.<\/p>\n<p>War games should not come near civil aircrafts. There is a code that state and military aircrafts are required to follow when coming into close proximity with civilian aircrafts.
