Marking the end of Global Village’s 22nd season, the multicultural park set out a new world record on its closing night\u00a0by achieving nine out of ten on the Happiness Index.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The popular family destination closed its doors on April 7 after a fantastic display of fireworks and entertainment the park had ever seen before.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Global village’s 22nd season had the\u00a0biggest shopping, dining, concerts, shows and events, games and entertainment festivals than ever before.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

More than six million smiles\u00a0<\/h3>\n

Global Village has made more than six million visitors from over 95 nationalities, extremely happy inside the premise.<\/p>\n

It completed AED2.9 billion of business transactions and hired manpower from more than 75 countries.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Here’s some of Global Village’s most memorable events in Season 22<\/h3>\n

1. Liam Payne’s hit concert<\/h3>\n

The international pop-star was brought out to sing at a concert in Global Village<\/a> and had a huge\u00a0guest turnout of more than 110,000 people!\u00a0<\/p>\n

23 other concerts took place at the venue and have entertained thousands of people at a time – Amr Diab, Nancy Ajram, Tamer Hosney, Shreya Ghoshal, and Ali Khan were amongst the singers who performed on stage.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0Largest Cup of hot Tea in the World<\/h3>\n

Achieving a Guinness World Record of having the world’s largest cup of hot tea<\/a>, Global Village managed to make 5,000 litres of hot Karak tea in a single cup!<\/p>\n

Standing more than 4.7 metres tall, the world’s largest tea cup served more than 50,000 guests.\u00a0<\/p>\n

That’s a loooot of Karak tea!<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

3. Addition of new pavilions\u00a0<\/h3>\n

Season 22 at Global Village saw the opening of new pavilions – Bosnia, Balkans, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

These new countries were added to the existing 75 countries across 27 pavilions at Global Village.\u00a0<\/p>\n

4. Lots of fantastic entertainment shows\u00a0<\/h3>\n

One of the regions most exciting mega Monster Stunt Show<\/a> took place in Global village, it featured\u00a0exciting movements and action with new and bigger range of technologies, tools, cars and bicycles!\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Main Cultural Stage also hosted several unique shows including Tall Tales,\u00a0one of the world’s most high energy and acrobatic shows.\u00a0<\/p>\n
