If you find yourself traveling out of Dubai any time soon, make sure you pack some extra cash because a new fee has been introduced by Dnata at Dubai International Airport.\u00a0<\/p>\n

So if your luggage doesn’t conform to standard size and weight and requires additional or special handling then expect to pay the extra fee.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, this new fee only applies to any baggages that do not follow standard airport sizes and\u00a0require additional manual handling<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fee amount\u00a0<\/h3>\n

Dnata provides\u00a0all the\u00a0ground-handling service for airlines operating at Dubai International Airport and the fee will\u00a0depend on the contract between the airline and the company.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

One Airline has already applied the new fee – Air India is charging AED45 for handling baggages classified as “out of gauge” – packages that are too large, light, heavy, fragile or have a flat surface will require the additional fee.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The packages either\u00a0damage or slow down the baggage system, which is one reason behind the new fee.\u00a0<\/h3>\n
