Afghan Nationals Given December 31 Deadline for NOC or Exit

Rohama Batool

The federal government has issued a no-nonsense deadline for Afghan nationals living in Islamabad.

They now have until December 31 to secure a No Objection Certificate (NOC) or pack their bags and leave the capital

This bold move comes as part of a larger crackdown aimed at tightening security and managing foreign residents in the city.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi dropped this bombshell during a visit to the ongoing F-8 underpass construction. The minister also emphasized the government’s commitment to regulating foreign residents and ensuring public safety

With protests recently shaking Islamabad, security forces have been working overtime.

Islamabad Police Chief Ali Nasir Rizvi revealed that 954 arrests were made over three days, along with the seizure of over 200 vehicles and 39 weapons, including Kalashnikovs and pistols

So folks if you’re living in Islamabad, expect beefed-up security in the coming weeks. Checkpoints and patrolling will remain active to ensure the city stays safe and free of disruptions.

And as for Afghan nationals… according to the authorities, those without an NOC will face serious consequences after the deadline.
