Bushra Bibi, the wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has officially walked out of Adiala Jail after the Islamabad High Court granted her bail
And yes, it’s all related to the infamous Toshakhana case that’s been making headlines for months!

Bushra Bibi was arrested back on January 31st, alongside her husband, after an Islamabad accountability court sentenced both to 14 years in prison in the Toshakhana reference.
In case you don’t know the Toshakhana case involves allegations of misusing official gifts during their time in power (think: luxury watches, expensive items, and more!).
Since her arrest, she’s been held at Adiala Jail, the same facility where her husband, the former PTI chairman Imran Khan, is also being kept following his August 5th, 2023 arrest
The Islamabad High Court decided to approve her bail just yesterday, and today, Bushra Bibi is a free woman. No more waiting behind bars, she’s out and about, leaving the gates of Adiala after months of detention.
Following her release, PTI wasted no time. On their official X (formerly Twitter) account, they went all out in praising Bushra Bibi’s resilience.
They described her as a symbol of strength for enduring not just prison but also a “disgusting campaign” of character assassination and public scrutiny. They’re calling her a fighter for getting through what they’re labeling as “difficult times.”
While Bushra Bibi’s out on bail, the Toshakhana case isn’t disappearing any time soon.
Imran Khan remains in custody, and both will continue to face legal battles ahead
But for now, Bushra Bibi’s supporters are celebrating her release, and PTI is using this moment to push back on what they see as politically motivated charges.
