Imran Khan Raises MASSIVE Funding For Flood Relief Through Telethon!
The floods in Pakistan have become a MAJOR problem for every citizen. Regardless, if they are directly or indirectly affected by this natural disaster, everyone has become a victim in one way or another. People have been trying to help the flood victims as much as they can, whether that takes their life savings or tuition fee, they are going to HELP! However, Imran Khan just dropped a massive breaking news by collecting Rs500 CRORE for flood relief.
Heads turning, people double glancing and their jaws dropping! We get it because same!
PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan held an international telethon to raise funds for the flood affectees. In this telethon, not only people from Pakistan, but also from all over the world could donate as much as they wanted.
According to the Senator, Faisal Javed Khan, who moderated the telethon, more than Rs500 CRORE were raised in just a span of three hours!

This isn’t even all. In just a span of 30 minutes, the telethon was able to collect a whopping amount of Rs50 crore. Moreover the funding was able to cross the Rs100 crore mark in just 1 hour. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf kept updating the news of funding on their official instagram account .

UNBELIEVABLE! 😱
During this three hour long telethon, a number of celebrities and politicians joined in and helped the flood victims by donating what they could. Chief Ministers of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pervaiz Elahi and Mahmood Khan, Sania Nishtar, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Maulana Tariq Jamil and many others joined Khan on his telethon to help with the funding.
In addition to this, guess who else decided to join the telethon. Internationally renowned British-Pakistani boxer, Amir Khan, also hopped on the telethon and announced Rs5 Million for the flood victims. Moreover, Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s Prime Minister, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, also marked his attendance on telethon and announced Rs30 million!
How GENEROUS!
During this historical telethon Imran Khan shed a light on what the floods have taken away from the people of this Nation. According to him “More than 1000 people have died due to the devastating floods and the damages are expected to cross Rs1000 billion.” This shows that we have a long way to go and cannot stop helping the people in need.
