The federal government is not taking any chances ahead of PTI’s November 24 power show in Islamabad.
This decision comes after PTI founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan issued a “final call” for a massive rally, labeling it a protest against “stolen mandates,” “unjust arrests,” and the controversial push for the 26th constitutional amendment.
With political tensions heating up, the government has extended Section 144 in Islamabad for another two months.

The Ministry of Interior has now greenlit their deployment under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
The troops will be equipped with riot gear and operate under a clear command structure to ensure maximum control over the situation. The government hasn’t yet disclosed the exact locations of deployment.
Meanwhile, PTI Central Information Secretary Sheikh Waqqas Akram is rallying supporters with strong words.
He also criticized the state for putting more effort into cracking down on political protests than addressing real threats like terrorism. “The government says they’re not worried, yet their actions scream otherwise,” Akram quipped.
With protests already sweeping the country and authorities doubling down on security, Islamabad is set to become the epicenter of Pakistan’s political tug-of-war this weekend.
