Sixth Monkey Pox Case Detected At Islamabad Airport!
Islamabad has just recorded its sixth case of monkey pox, and it’s got everyone on high alert.
A 44-year-old man recently returned from the Gulf and tested positive for the virus at Islamabad International Airport
The patient was flagged during routine health screening and is now in isolation at PIMS Hospital, where he’s stable. Early detection by the Border Health Services team was key in catching this case before it could spread further.
Dr. Mukhtar Bharath has praised the airport’s thorough screening system, which has checked over 630,000 passengers so far
The Ministry of Health is all over this, ensuring every precaution is taken to keep the virus contained.
And folks, it’s not just Islamabad that’s on edge. In Karachi, a passenger at Jinnah International Airport also showed mpox symptoms, leading to immediate action. The passenger has been moved to Sindh’s Infection Disease Hospital, and the plane and airport areas have been disinfected.
