Islamabad witnessed a high-stakes rescue operation after two policemen were held hostage and tortured by drug dealers in Phulgran’s Uthaal village.
What started as a routine raid turned into a chaotic standoff, with armed suspects and stone-pelting locals making it nearly impossible for law enforcement to take control
The officers had entered the village on a mission to crack down on drug dealers, but instead of a routine bust, they found themselves in the middle of a violent ambush. Gunfire erupted, and in the chaos, two policemen were overpowered and taken hostage. A civilian was also injured during the shootout.
As soon as the incident unfolded, a large contingent of police rushed to the village to launch a rescue operation.
However, the mission quickly escalated as locals began pelting stones and even firing at the police, making it impossible for them to move forward
With tensions at an all-time high, additional law enforcement units from across Islamabad were called in for reinforcement. The intense standoff finally came to an end when police managed to rescue the two hostages, who had been severely tortured by their captors. The injured officers were immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment.
Despite successfully recovering the officers, the culprits are still at large…
A full-scale search operation is now underway to track down the drug dealers responsible for the attack.
