Islamabad witnessed a tragic incident on Sunday when a traffic policeman, Zubair Shah, was fatally shot by unidentified gunmen near the traffic police office. The shocking attack has left the law enforcement community and the public shaken.

According to initial reports, Zubair Shah, who was on duty at the time, was targeted by armed assailants who opened fire on him…He succumbed to his injuries on the spot

The incident has drawn strong reactions from government officials.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed profound sorrow over the loss of Zubair Shah and extended his condolences to the bereaved family

“We stand firmly with the family of the fallen officer during this time of grief,” the minister stated.

Minister Naqvi also directed law enforcement agencies to expedite the investigation and ensure the swift arrest of the perpetrators.

In addition to promising justice, the Interior Minister vowed to provide full support to the martyr’s family, acknowledging the officer’s ultimate sacrifice for his duty.

The brazen attack underscores the risks faced by law enforcement officers in their mission to maintain safety and order. Efforts to apprehend those responsible are ongoing, and authorities are determined to bring the culprits to justice.
