Attention Islooites! You are soon going to listen to drones buzzing on your heads. Soon DRONES will be delivering food at your doorsteps. Isn’t this amazing?
The Capital is going to have more advancement in the technological sector. This time, the ICT government has chosen to use food delivery drones to bring meals directly to the homes of Islamabad residents.
In Pakistan, the use of drone technology for food delivery is about to become a fact. This was made known to Pakistanis this morning when DC Islamabad Hamza Shafqat announced it on his Twitter account.
The capital’s food delivery drone service will be launched in partnership with food panda, according to DC Islamabad.
Using drones to deliver food in Islamabad. Coming soon…
— Muhammed Hamza Shafqaat (@hamzashafqaat) September 29, 2021
The drone food delivery service will be formally started when the Civil Drone Authority (CDA) and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) are on board, according to DC Islamabad.
He also mentioned that the drone food delivery service will have a soft debut in October. Orphaned children from Pakistan Sweet Home will be invited to the ceremony. The children will be fed via a drone.
The initiative also has some serious drawbacks. The first drawback is that the food delivery riders will lose their jobs. Many questions are under consideration. Can drones work in all kinds of weather? Will the drones be capable of carrying a large size pizza without toppling?
These and other questions will be roaming while the initiative is taken by the Capital’s DC. Until the start, you are going to have the same old-school delivery process i.e. through human hands.
