Tragedy in Khuzdar: School Bus Blast Claims 5 Lives, Including 3 Children

A devastating terrorist attack on a school bus in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district claimed five lives, including three young students and left multiple children seriously injured, according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The tragic incident occurred near Khuzdar Zero Point on Wednesday morning, when a blast, suspected to be a suicide attack…targeted the school bus carrying children to their classes

The injured were immediately taken to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Khuzdar, with the more critically wounded being shifted to Quetta and Karachi for specialized treatment.

Among the students martyred in the attack were:

  • Sania Soomro, Grade 6

  • Hafsa Kausar, Grade 7

  • Ayesha Saleem, Grade 10

The ISPR labeled the attack as “yet another cowardly and ghastly act” orchestrated by “terrorist state of India” and executed through its proxies operating in Balochistan. “After failing on the battlefield, India is resorting to heinous acts against innocent civilians,” the statement read.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the bombing, calling it a “vile and calculated attack on the future of Pakistan.” Expressing deep sorrow, he stated that “targeting school children reveals the terrorists’ hostility toward education in Balochistan.” He vowed swift justice and directed law enforcement agencies to arrest the perpetrators without delay.

President Asif Ali Zardari also strongly denounced the attack, calling it “inhumane” and “despicable.” In his statement, he accused India of backing terrorist groups and pledged that Pakistan would expose India’s role in such atrocities at global forums.

These terrorists do not want to see Balochistan developed,” said the President, adding that the nation remained united in its resolve to eliminate terrorism in all forms.

Local authorities, including the Frontier Corps and police, have launched a full investigation. Deputy Commissioner Yasir Iqbal Dashti confirmed that initial evidence points to a suicide bombing.

This tragic incident follows an ongoing pattern of violence in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where Pakistan’s security forces have recently carried out successful operations against Indian-backed terror outfits, killing 12 suspected militants earlier this week

Pakistanis all over are mourning the loss of innocent children…
