Faulty submarine cables.<\/p>\n<h2>According to the PTA, two of the seven international cables that keep Pakistan connected to the rest of the digital world have malfunctioned<\/h2>\n<p>While one of the cables, AAE-1, has been repaired, the other, SMW-4, won\u2019t be fully operational until early October. While the PTA points fingers at these underwater cables, critics have a different theory.<\/p>\n<p>They believe the government is using this opportunity to test a new internet firewall designed to control social media content. And let\u2019s not forget that social media platform X (formerly Twitter) was banned recently for not playing by the rules.<\/p>\n<p>And as you can imagine, people are NOT happy.<\/p>\n<h2>The prolonged internet issues have sparked outrage across the country!<\/h2>\n<p>From freelancers trying to meet deadlines to students struggling to attend online classes, everyone is feeling the pinch.
