If you live in Abu Dhabi and wondered why many key landmarks, including the Sheikh Zayed Bridge and ADNOC Headquarters, were bathed in green light, there is a VERY special reason behind it.
The same reason why your phone reads UAE KSA TOGETHER instead of Etisalat or du.
The UAE and Saudi Arabia has taken significant steps to enter a strategic alliance with the first ever meeting of Saudi-Emirati Coordination Council that was held in Jeddah on Wednesday.
The council was chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, as well as Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia, who met at the Peace Palace in Jeddah.
The aim of the meeting was to announce the structure of the coordination council to boost “joint collaboration on the implementation of projects and create an Arab model of cooperation.”
The two leaders have set a five-year time-frame to implement a total of 44 projects promoting economic, developmental and military integration.
