More than 1,500 jobs for foreign airlines and ground service work at the new King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah will be localised soon, reports Saudi Gazette. The Director General of Jeddah airport, Engr. Abdullah Al-Raimi, called on all companies working at the airport to replace foreign staff with Saudis, with jobs only limited to citizens. The memo circulated to all the companies and operators at the newly-renovated Jeddah airport.

Fines will be imposed to companies who don’t comply with instructions to localise jobs for Saudis

Al-Raimi added that companies, agents and airlines at the airport have to quickly replace foreign workers with Saudis. The airport is doing all that it can for the efforts to bring qualified Saudis to these jobs and raise the rate of Saudization.
