NYC’s ‘Saudi 100 Brands’ Exhibition PERFECTLY Displayed The Kingdom’s Authentic Heritage Through Local Designers

Saudi couture has officially gone global as the ‘Saudi 100 Brands’ exhibition opened doors to New York City just a few days ago


Around 100 Saudi designers got the chance to display their works of fashion that reflect the culture and heritage of the Kingdom. They displayed a variety of pieces including bags, jewelery, dresses and even bridal couture items.

Among 1,500 contenstants 100 were chosen on the basis of uniqueness and relevance to the cultural values of the Kingdom


Princess Reema bint Bandar Al-Saud, also known as the the Saudi ambassador to America, was in attendance to inaugurate the opening ceremony. She said a few words to Arab News about Saudi’s fashion and heritage, explaining how culture is not defined by a border, and has nothing to do with politics. It is rather a value of the human spirit, which is a perfect example of the diversity in worldwide fashion.

Big names like Carolina Herrera and Reem Acra were also at the opening ceremony
