One of the two runways at Dubai International airport will be temporarily closed for upgrade work for 45 days next year, which means Dubai airlines Emirates and Fly Dubai have to change their strategy for a seamless flight operations.

And as it turns out, major changes in the flight schedules were announced by both the airlines on Thursday.

While Emirates will reduce its operating schedule and number of flights, FlyDubai would move some flights to DWC next year from April 16 to May 30, 2019.
