46 members of a terror cell have been arrested by Saudi security forces. The cell is responsible for twin suicide bombings in a police station outside the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah as well as an explosion outside a hospital in Jeddah. The bombings took place in July of last year. According to the Saudi Press Agency, the suspects included 32 Saudis and 14 members were of both Arab and foreign nationalities.

“Investigations are still being carried out to determine the role of each one,” the spokesperson said.

The investigation unveiled that the group had supplied to suicide bomber with the explosive vest he used. The group also killed one of its members fearing he would expel information. They slaughtered the man and buried his body in a one-metre deep hole. Police then discovered the deceased was on the police’s ‘wanted list.’

During a police raid on the cell’s hideout, multiple sources used to create explosives were discovered.
